Abstract

A summary of the story of Troïlus and Zellandine, old version of the Belle au bois dormant, in the third part of the Roman de Perceforest. An analysis of the tale's folklore traditions, its status in comparison to other medieval versions of the Belle endormie story, its originality in the Perceforest, and its evolution from the Middle Ages to the 18th century.
