CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE John M. Rozett received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1974. He is currently working on a study entitled "The Search for Stability: Social Order and Politics in the Age of Jackson." Kevin M. Sweeney is a doctoral student at Yale. WJ. Rorabaugh did the research for his article in Kenneth Stampp's seminar at the University of California. For 197677 he is a visiting acting assistant professor at the University of Washington. David F. Krein, who received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 1974, has taught at Washburn University and Clarke College. He is "presently employed as a hall monitor at Central High School, Davenport, Iowa," while he is working on a study of the aristocracy and political power in nineteenth -century Britain. Philip J. Avillo, Jr., assistant professor at York College of Pennsylvania, is completing a study of slave state Republican congressmen and their impact on Reconstruction. ...
