Vibhuti Patel

Vibhuti Patel is Professor and Head of the University Department of Economics, and Director of the Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research at the SNDT Women's University, Mumbai. She was also visiting faculty at the Development Studies Institute of the London School of Economics. Dr Patel is the author of Women's Challenges of the New Millennium (New Delhi: Gyan Pub. House, 2002); co-author of Indian Women — Change and Challenge (Bombay: Popular Prakashan, 1985) and Reaching for Half the Sky (Baroda: Antar Rashtriya Prakashan, 1985); and co-editor of Macro Economic Policies and the Millennium Development Goals (New Delhi: Gyan Pub. House, 2007) and a series of seven volumes on Empowering Women Worldwide (Delhi: The Women Press, 2008).
