Symposium on Racial Profiling and Police Culture

The nine comments that follow concern an article published in CJCCJ, Vol. 51, No. 2 (April, 2009), pp. 199–226: "Racism versus Professionalism: Claims and Counter-claims about Racial Profiling" by Vic Satzewich and William Shaffir. When the article entitled "Rejoinder to Satzewich and Shaffir …" by Frances Henry and Carol Tator, which appears below, was accepted for publication, CJCCJ commissioned comments on the issue from several scholars. Then, to sum up, Drs. Henry and Tator and Drs. Satzewich and Shaffir were invited to provide replies to these comments.

Les neuf commentaires qui suivent ont trait à un article publié dans la Revue, vol. 51, no 2 (avril 2009), pp. 199–226, sous le titre Racism versus Professionalism: Claims and Counter-claims about Racial Profiling, rédigé par Vic Satzewich et William Shaffir. Après avoir accepté l'article intitulé Rejoinder…, soumis par Frances Henry et Carol Tator, la Revue a invité plusieurs universitaires à s'exprimer sur cette question. Pour conclure le tout, on a demandé à mesdames Henry et Tator, de même qu'à messieurs Satzewich et Shaffir, de réagir aux commentaires exprimés.
