Vsi Naši Otroci

Vsi otroci so naši otroci,je rekel prijazen glas, vse smrklje in frklje in froci, vsi svetlih in črnih in kodravih las,

All Our Children

All children are our children, said the voice in a kindly tone, all sniffy and skittish and surly, all with hair light and dark and curly,

all ours! The different ones as well,of different fates and faiths and races, all the white and black, all thehungry and illare just like any one among us.

Together in this world we live,in this great village shared, where for happiness we seek a rhymeand listen to the voice of god,

which orders us to live and growand with open hands preventthe bad that every momentstrikes children by the millions!

All children on earth are bornfor happiness and good fortune, each is similar to you and me,each is the sun and each the dawn. [End Page 84]
