PERSPECTIVES IN BIOLOGY AND MEDICINE Volume 12 · Number 2 · Winter 1969 EDITORIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: HONOR AWARD This journal received the "Honor Award in Medical Communications" for 1968 from the American Medical Writers' Association, the second Honor Award to Perspectives in Biology and Medicine within the past four years. This welcome recognition ofthejournal reflects success in attracting outstanding authors and the guidance ofthe advisory and editorial boards. Its editor, DwightJoyce Ingle, himself an eminent endocrinologist and physiologist, has been assisted by advisory and editorial boards composed of biologists and physicians of international reputation. The editor and his boards have established and maintained the worthiest standards for content and style in its published contributions. The format, notably the typography, ofPerspectives is an admirable blend ofgrace, restrained informality, and clear presentation.
