Memories of Hemingway: A Letter from Dawn Powell to Carlos Baker, 10 May 1965

On 10 May 1965, the writer Dawn Powell wrote a long letter to Hemingway biographer Carlos Baker, reminiscing about her friendship with Hemingway. Although Baker cited the letter in his notes for Ernest Hemingway: A Life Story, no copy appears to be available in either the Dawn Powell Collection at Columbia University or the Baker papers at Princeton or Stanford. Researcher Sara Kosiba was able to obtain a copy of the letter after a conversation with Tim Page, Powell's biographer.
