Note from the Editor

This supplemental issue of Demography consists of 10 articles based on presentations at the 2009 15^th Anniversary Conference of the founding of the Demography and Economics of Aging Centers funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA). Although the issue was funded by the NIA, all the articles were peer reviewed and revised for publication. This special issue continues a Demography tradition established with the publication of special issues associated with the 5th and 10th Anniversary Conferences. Given the significance of population aging trends around the world, we are pleased to present these articles to the demographic community.
