.HISTORICAL NEWS The Annual Meeting of Friends Historical Association was held on Eleventh Month 28, 1966, at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania . A brief business meeting was held, at which members of the Board of Directors were elected for a three-year term. Several of the Association's standing committees made their annual reports. The speaker of the evening was Edwin Wolf, 2nd, the Librarian of the Library Company of Philadelphia, which now occupies a building immediately adjacent to the Historical Society with interconnecting doors. He spoke on the library and literary interests of James Logan, whose great eighteenth-century library is now a part of the Library Company. There were some books from his library and many other wonderful rarities from the Library Company's collections on exhibit in the room where we met. The meeting ended with refreshments as usual. * * * This is the last issue of Quaker History to be prepared by Frederick B. Tolles. After eighteen years of service as Editor, he offered his resignation at the meeting of the Board of Directors on Second Month 2, 1967. The Board has appointed Lyman W. Riley to be his successor. Lyman Riley has in recent years been Assistant Editor with special responsibility for preparing the five-year cumulative indexes to the magazine.
