Abstract

The following reminiscences trace the career of Ruth Kluger in commemoration of her 75th birthday and celebrate her contributions to German Studies in the United States and the international scholarly and literary scene. Both authors offer an account of personal contacts with the scholar and writer in appreciation of the mentorship she has so generously granted, especially to future women scholars and members of the Coalition of Women in German. The last section features two of Ruth Kluger's poems, both in the original and in translation. (HK)
