MENTIDERO DE COMEDIANTES South Central Review, the quarterly journal of the South Central Modern Language Association, announces a new staff: Kenneth M. Price, Editor, Eduardo Urbina, Associate Editor and Business Manager, and David R. Anderson, Associate Editor. They publish articles, written in English, on all aspects of literature and language, with an emphasis on literary history, theory, and interpretation. They particularly welcome scholarship on works in modern languages. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Bulletin of the Comediantes, a special plenary session has been scheduled at the 9th annual Symposium on Golden-Age Drama, to be held at the University of Texas at El Paso on March 8-10, 1989. This session is scheduled more specifically for Friday, March 10, time to be announced. The Editor cordially invites all subscribers to join in this celebration. El Eighth Annual Golden Age Spanish Drama Symposium, celebrado en The University of Texas at El Paso del 9 al 12 de marzo de 1988, fue el marco de un banquete lleno de cordialidad, al final del cual se presentaron varios informes sobre las actividades de las personas que habían hecho posible la realización del congreso. Se mencionó la historia de un proyecto consistente en la representación festiva del entremés cervantino El retablo de ¡as maravillas. Una serie de razones perfectamente justificables impidió su realización. Pero como testimonio y reliquia de lo que pudo ser y no fue —y como avance esperado de lo que será el año próximo— se leyó un INTROITO de estilo torresnaharresco, que en el plan inicial debía haber precedido la puesta en escena mencionada .
