  • In Grateful Memory of Max Palevsky, 1924-2010

The Historical Society gratefully recognizes its debt to Max Palevsky. Palevsky strongly supported Robert F. Kennedy's campaign for the U.S. presidency in 1968, figured among the major donors to George McGovern's campaign in 1972, backed Tom Bradley and Gray Davis in California politics, and then for twenty-five years strived to take big money out of American politics. From 2000 to 2005 he was among the largest and most faithful individual donors to our fledgling society. [End Page 42]
