Más allá de la dicotomía del sic et non: inventio, dispositio y elocutio en el Libro de buen amor

En el presente estudio nos embarcamos en una lectura del Libro de buen amor que atiende a una disposición tripartita en su configuración, en un intento de romper con la tendencia a la dicotomía a la que nos tiene acostumbrados la crítica ruiciana. A la vez que examinamos algunas de las posturas discordantes que ha adoptado la crítica respecto al ejercicio hermenéutico, realizamos un recorrido puntual de la obra en los estadios retórico-discursivos de: inventio, selección y elaboración, dispositio, orden o estructura, y elocutio, modo de expresión o estilo, que aunque han sido identificados en estudios independientes, no se han considerado hasta la fecha como eje de una aproximación conjunta que permita reflexionar sobre el propósito de la obra.This study calls for a reading of the Libro de buen amor based on a three-pronged approach and, in doing so, it breaks with the dualities usually encountered in the work of Ruizian scholars. Together with an examination of some of the divergent views taken by critics on the hermeneutics of the text, in this study I carry out a detailed survey of the Libro de buen amor, focusing upon the rhetorical or discursive stages of inventio (the finding and rendering of subject matter), dispositio (structure and organization) and elocutio (style or mode of expression). Although these rhetorical devices have been analysed separately by critics, this study is the first to examine them together, allowing us to reflect upon the work's overall aims.
