The following document is the final draft of the new CED standards for certification of professionals involved in educating hearing-impaired children and youth.
The AD-HOC Committee on Revision of Standards has prepared three drafts for consideration by the Executive Boards of the organizations of CED-the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf (AGBAD), the Conference of Educational Administrators Serving the Deaf (CEASD), and the Convention of American Instructors of the Deaf (CAID)-and has sought input from the members of these organizations. It is anticipated that the draft appearing below will be approved by all these organizations by the end of June, 1985. If further changes are made prior to adoption, these will be printed in the April 1986 Reference Issue of the American Annals of the Deaf.
