Abstract

The evaluation program at the Media Development Project for the Hearing Impaired (MDPHI) provides data for various levels of decision making. The major evaluation effort is given to collecting nationwide data on the instructional products designed by MDPHI and other producers such as the Kendall Demonstration Elementary School, the Model Secondary School for the Deaf, and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf. In addition, the MDPHI evaluation program operates a general data collection system to facilitate the decision making process of the project. As a part of this responsibility, the evaluation program prepares reports (quarterly, annual, and final), analyzes needs assessment information, and conducts market analyses for product distribution.
