Abstract

The paper will consider the relationship of theory including learning theory to practice. It will trace chronologically the different theoretical emphases of the last 25 years and then relate instructional procedures to these theoretical developments. The shifts in the "how media decisions are made" will become apparent through this process. Attempts will be made to relate these theoretical developments to the topics of past symposia and to the hard of hearing.
