Abstract

Because of the variation of vision and hearing losses in deaf-blind students and the variations in prognosis for these students, the Iowa School for the Deaf has implemented a deaf-blind resource room. In this resource room each child is challenged with a curriculum and teaching methodology which suits his or her loss best. Students also have the advantage of being integrated into the regular deaf population when they are not in the resource room.
