Abstract

This article presents a review of the different methods of test instructions used with deaf and hard-of-hearing populations. Included in this article are reviews of: (a) the most common tests presently used, (b) the most common test instruction modifications presently used, and (c) the research on the effects of different methods of presenting test instruction on performance. This paper indicates that there is limited information available as to the most appropriate method of conveying test instructions to deaf and hard-of-hearing populations.
