PREAMBLE We, the members of the Convention of American Instructors of the Deaf, Incorporated, in order to secure the harmonious union of all persons actually engaged in educating deaf students in the United States and Canada, to utilize all means possible to provide such persons opportunities for the free interchange of views concerning the methods and means of educating deaf students, to promote the education and welfare of deaf students and to enhance the professional status of its members, do hereby adopt this Constitution. ARTICLE I. Name. Goals and Authorities of Governance Sec. 1. Name.
