In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

This issue marks 10 full years of the Native Plants Journal. Not including this issue, we've published 73 refereed, 138 general, 56 propagation protocols, and 6 germplasm releases—that's 273 total publications. My sincere hope is that you have been able to put this information to good use.

I didn't plan it this way, but like peas in a pod (bad pun intended), several manuscripts dealing with Fabaceae were all ready for publication at the same time. These articles provide information useful to folks from Louisiana and Texas north to Minnesota. I especially thank Thomas G Barnes for supplying some great photos to accompany the articles. This issue also includes new information for germinating American beautybush, provides details on the genetic variation of 3 native grasses in northern California, and discusses the ramifications of using hardwood cuttings of willows collected in fall versus spring. And, if you're wondering whether or not you should obtain a copy of The Woody Plant Seed Manual, the new Agriculture Handbook, perhaps the review by Dr Jerry Baskin will help you decide.

With this issue I would like to introduce 3 new associate editors: James P Muir, Daniela J Shebitz, and Sandra B Wilson. All of them have published in NPJ and have expressed a keen desire to see this journal thrive. I look forward to their service; it is the good work of the associate editors and the reviewers that maintain the quality of NPJ. A special thank you to the following individuals for reviewing manuscripts this past year:
