Abstract

The essay begins with a discussion of the disruptive rhythms that the Congolese poet Tchicaya incorporated into his works and that are modeled on Rimbaud’s verse poems. It ends with a recapitulation of Riffaterre’s and Delas’s collaboration on Essais de stylistique structurale and of the subsequent development of Riffaterre’s thought.
