Write for critical acts Now!
What's going on now in Moscow, New Delhi, New York, Johannesburg, Cairo, Berlin, Shanghai...or anywhere else?
TDR introduces a new section, critical acts, to find out.
critical acts is an ongoing series of short articles on new work in all the performing arts.
critical acts will give answers to such questions as: Is there a "new" avantgarde? If so, what is it, who does it, where is it being done? Can new performance theories be derived from this work?
critical acts is "art oriented," including the worlds of dance, music, theatre, performance art, visual arts, and media. We are interested in art that challenges tradition even as it continues the tradition of the avantgarde.
TDR welcomes critical acts articles from anyone, anywhere. In fact, the more diverse and dispersed the contributors the better. Articles should be short performance reports (not reviews), theoretical articles (offering new theories about 21st-century performance), reports on specific neighborhoods as new performance sites. Articles can be individually or collaboratively authored.
The possibilities are wide open.
Please follow TDR's Writer's Guidelines in making your submissions, which can be sent either as hard copy or via email to <firstname.lastname@example.org>.
