Abstract

Michelle Grangaud's Geste, published in 1991, is the target of investigation. Grangaud, a member of the group Oulipo since 1995, develops and practices in this collection of poetry a new poetic form: the three line poem that follows a 5/5/11 syllabic pattern. This analysis of her work focuses on how her particular writing style reflects Oulipian écriture, one of the main goals of which is the building of consciousness.
