Abstract

This text bears on Jacques Jouet's conception of poetry as an ordinary activity practiced on a daily basis and at the local level. It stresses his preference for machine-made poems produced in bulk, his belief in literary form as a social virtue and also his sense of solidarity with the aloof and rarefied Mallarmé.
