Abstract

Three recent books scrutinize the legal, ethical, and policy implications of sexual harassment on campus. Their discerning analyses of institutional policies and practices raise troubling questions about the nature and extent of the problem, the weakening of affirmative action and equal opportunity on campuses, and the disturbing proclivity to defer to the courts. These books underscore the importance of sustained discourse within higher education and a renewed commitment to implement sexual harassment and hostile environment policies.
