Student Essay Contest Winner

The winner of TDR's 2008 Student Essay Contest is Zack Whitman Gill of the University of California, San Diego, for his essay "Rehearsing the War Away: Perpetual Warrior Training in Contemporary US Army Policy." "On Reception of Improvised Music" by James Dennen of Brown University received an honorable mention. Both of these essays will appear in issue 53:3 (T203), Fall 2009.
