Cora Coralina (el pseudónimo de Ana Lins dos Guimarães Peixoto Brêtas) es uno de los poetas más admirados de Brasil. Nació en la ciudad de Goiás en Brasil en 1889. Empezó a escribir la poesía a la edad de 14, pero publicó su premiero libro solamente en 1965. La casa en Goiás, donde vivió, manteniéndose como confitera, hoy es conservada como un museo. Su poesía fue elogiada de los autores distinguido, como Carlos Drummond de Andrade y Jorge Amado. Murió en 1985.

Cora Coralina (pseudonym of Ana Lins dos Guimarães Peixoto Brêtas) is one of the most admired Brazilian poets. She was born in the town of Goiás in Brazil in 1889. She began writing poetry at the age of 14 but published her first book only in 1965. The house in Goiás where she lived, supporting herself as a candy-maker, is now preserved as a museum. Her poetry was praised by such distinguished authors as Carlos Drummond de Andrade and Jorge Amado. She died in 1985

Darcy França Denófrio nació en Nova Aurora, hoy en día municipio de Itarumã-GO, el 21 de julio de 1936. Ha escrito once libros distribuidos en varias áreas: didáctica, crítica, y literatura. Sus obras críticas se vuelcan fundamentalmente en la literatura de la región de Goiás-GO. Denófrio dedicó 30 años de su vida al magisterio, destacándose como profesora de teoría literaria en la Universidad Federal de Goiás. Entre sus obras se destacan: Lavra dos goiases: Gilberto & Miguel, 1997; Amaro mar (Poetas de sempre), 1998, y Melhores Poemas de Cora Coralina, 2004.

Darcy França Denófrio was born in Nova Aurora, today the municipality of Itarumã-GO, on the 21 st of July of the year 1936. She has written eleven books distributed in several areas: teaching methodology, literary criticism, and literature. Her critical works are particularly focused on the literary work produced in the region of Goiás-GO. Denófrio gave 30 years of her life to teaching, becoming a distinguished professor of literary theory at the Universidad Federal de Goiás. Her work includes, Lavra dos goiases: Gilberto & Miguel, 1997; Amaro mar (Poetas de sempre), 1998; and Melhores Poemas de Cora Coralina, 2004.

El tercer libro de poesía de Steve Gehrke, Michelangelo's Seizure, fue seleccionado para inclusión en la Serie de Poesía National (de EEUU). Steve Gehrke's third book of poetry, Michelangelo's Seizure, was selected for the National Poetry Series and published in 2007. His second book, The Pyramids of Mapighi, won the Philip Levine Prize. His other awards include a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and a Pushcart Prize. He lives in New Jersey and teaches at Seton Hall University.

Utz Rachowski se crió en Alemania Oriental. Estudió la medicina, hizo los trabajos pequeños, y fue condenado a 27 meses de prisión por copiar y distribuir los textos literarios de escritores disidentes como Jürgen Fuchs, Wolf Biermann, y Reiner Kunze. Consiguió la liberdad porque el gobierno de Alemania Occidental intervino y Rachowski abandanó la Alemania Oriental en 1980. Utz Rachowski grew up in East Germany. He studied medicine, worked at odd jobs, and was sentenced to 27 months in jail for copying and distributing literary texts by dissident writer friends such as Jürgen Fuchs, Wolf Biermann, and Reiner Kunze. He was released from jail because of the West German government's intervention and left East Germany in 1980. He then studied art history and philosophy in Göttingen and West Berlin, where he still resides as a freelance writer.
