Madeleine Doering Isom
A city is created not simply by great works of architecture but also by the way the buildings fit together. This ensemble matters as much as the city's individual structures. My work contemplates how these structures relate to each other. Their spatial relationships and resultant patterns create an urban fabric--tightly woven, rich in texture and contrast.

Madeleine Doering Isom is an artist who was trained at The School of the Art Institute in Chicago and at Columbia University School of Architecture in New York. In 2000, her work appeared in four juried exhibitions and was published and exhibited in several venues in New York and Chicago.
