Abstract
This response piece meditates on the achievements of and the challenges that face contemporary scholars of Sephardi history and culture. In particular, it considers the advantages of permeating the boundaries that demarcate this field and that divide it from Jewish Studies, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Studies, and other cognate fields.
