Editors' Introduction

2009 marks the beginning of the end for the current editorial team. George Bodmer has already resigned and we thank him for his work. Ian Wojcik-Andrews, a member of the Lion and the Unicorn editorial board, has assumed editorial responsibilities for this January 2009 issue. Pamela Gay-White and Adrianne Wadewitz are the guest editors for the special April issue on eighteenth century children's literature and Sandra Beckett will edit the last general issue of 2009. As the second decade of the twenty-first century begins, a new editorial team consisting of Karin Westman, Naomi Wood, and David Russell will take over completely with the January 2010 issue. In order to ensure a smooth transition, the incoming team will now start taking submissions. The new electronic submissions address is lionunicorn@ksu.edu. As the outgoing editorial team won't be saying final thanks and good-byes until the September issue, so we'll welcome January 2009 in the spirit of change.
