Åse Marie Ommundsen identifies two contrasting tendencies in Nordic young adult fiction: the first, to which she applies the term 'liquid limitlessness', is exemplified in Intet, a prize-winning Danish novel from the year 2000; the other, more hopeful tendency is exemplified in a Norwegian novel, Yatzy, also a prize-winner, from 2004
