Pamela M. Fletcher is Associate Professor of Art History at Bowdoin College. She is the author of Narrating Modernity: The British Problem Picture 1895–1914 and is currently writing a history of the commercial art gallery in London.

Anne Helmreich is Associate Professor of Art History at Case Western Reserve University and Director of the Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities at the university. Her work on nineteenth-century British art ranges from garden design to print culture and is characterized by an interest in investigating the links between art and the broader socio-historical context. Her most recent monograph is The English Garden and National Identity, The Competing Styles of Garden Design, 1870–1914 (Cambridge University Press, 2002). She is currently researching the dynamic interchange between art and science in nineteenth-century Britain and relationships between the art market in Paris and London in the nineteenth century.

Matthew McIntire is a lecturer in history at Cleveland State University. He contributed a chapter on baseball and cricket news to Anglo-American Media Interactions, 1850–2000 (2007), edited by Joel H. Wiener and Mark Hampton.

David H. Stam is University Librarian Emeritus at Syracuse University and Senior Scholar in the History Department.
