In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

Index to Volumes 1-5 Compiled by Constance Gremore This index consists of two sections, a general section and a bookreview section. The general section includes authors, titles, and subjects. The names of reviewers can also be found in the general section with the letter "R" following the volume and page numbers on which the review appears. Passing references to subjects (whether they be the names of children's authors, titles, etc.) have not been included in the index. Only references to extended discussions are listed. In the book-review section, entries have been made for authors, titles, and illustrators of books reviewed. Each entry is followed by an indication of volume number and page numbers. Page references are to all pages on which the item is discussed, whether or not by name on each page. Pseudonyms, rather than the real names of children's authors, are used in the index. Works discussed as series are entered under series, such as Oz books or Pooh books, not under individual titles. Entries such as English literature, American literature, etc. are limited to general discussions. For discussions of specific works, see individual authors' names and titles. Entries are filed in a straight word-by-word alphabetical sequence, without regard for punctuation.
