I am pleased to announce that the Journal of Early Christian Studies has received the 1994 award from the Association of American Publishers, Professional and Scholarly Publishing Division, for the "Best New Journal in the Humanities." Thanks are due to those who contributed or refereed articles, to our book reviewers, and to the careful and patient labors of the staff of the Journals Division at the Johns Hopkins University Press, especially Carol Hamblen. In addition, we thank the Journals Division managers who chose our journal as the one they would nominate for the award. It is very gratifying to see our collective work recognized by the Association. Keep the submissions coming! [End Page v]
