[End Page 100]

The Man who Tastes like Chocolate

The man who tastes like chocolatehas fallen asleep.

His eyesof bitter chocolateblink sometimes. The air condensesin his mouth of cream,in the milk candy of his lips.

Something tells mepure chocolatecan't be a man,that desire shouldn'tsketch such sugar-sweet illusions.

The man who tastes like chocolatedoesn't seem real, but I don't want him to be.Chocolate hidespassions darkerthan love. [End Page 101]
