Yael Levin, who holds a B.A. and M.A. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and obtained a Ph.D. at Royal Holloway, the University of London, has presented papers in London, Amsterdam, and Washington, DC. Named the outstanding young Conrad scholar for 2005, she has published essays in The Conradian and in Partial Answers.

Gene M. Moore teaches English and American literature at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. His publications include Conrad's Cities, Conrad on Film, the Oxford Reader's Companion to Conrad, and a casebook on Heart of Darkness.

Professor of English at the University of Maryland, BRIAN RICHARDSON is the author of Unlikely Stories: Causality and the Nature of Modern Narrative (1997) and Unnatural Voices: Extreme Narration in Modern and Contemporary Fiction (2006) as well as articles in such journals as ELH, Genre, New Literary History, Criticism, College English, Modern Drama, Philological Quarterly, Studies in the Novel, the James Joyce Quarterly, and Comparative Drama. He is the organizer and director of the Washington Area Modernist Symposium and the UM James Joyce Colloquium.

Jennifer Turner works for Unite the Trade Union. She is previously published in The Conradian, and is working on a biography of Jane Anderson.

Eve M. Whittaker describes herself as retired from three universities, around her family's appointment to the Canadian Diplomatic Service. She has taught at the University of British Columbia, Carleton University, and Simon Fraser University, specializing in the work of Conrad. She has also presented and published papers on medieval literature, and continues to do research on Conrad and medieval women authors. [End Page 295]
