A Falta

Absence

Where begins, where ends the formof silence most pure and fabulous, primitive and provisional absence,in the most intimate scene of things?

And where the infallible tongue, the one  that revealsits solitude of outline and relief, leaving scarcely a sign of ellipsesthe stammer of a hoarse desire?

Because of this I am neither a little or a lotnor do I cry out, nor do I refuse, nor am I  unawarethat something fascinates and hurts,  imperative,

and is reverberating, deep within, the distant echo, the remote stutterof the voice of an Indian that remainswithout a tribe. [End Page 101]
