Frank J. Wetta is vice president of academic affairs at Ocean County College in Toms River, New Jersey. He has written on Civil War and Reconstruction and is the coauthor with Stephen J. Curley of Celluloid Wars: A Guide to Film and the American Experience of War (Greenwood Press, 1992).
Kenneth W. Noe is Draughon Professor of Southern History at Auburn University. His most recent work is as coeditor of Politics and Culture of the Civil War Era: Essays in Honor of Robert W. Johannsen (Susquehanna University Press, 2006.) He is also the author of Perryville: This Grand Havoc of Battle (University Press of Kentucky, 2001).
George C. Rable is Charles G. Summersell Professor of Southern History at the University of Alabama. His most recent book, Fredericksburg! Fredericksburg! (University of North Carolina Press, 2002) won the Lincoln Prize. He also serves as president of the Society of Civil War Historians.
Carol Reardon is professor of military history at Pennsylvania State University. She is the author of Pickett’s Charge in History and Memory (University of North Carolina Press, 1997) and is the president of the Society for Military History.
M. Keith Harris is a doctoral candidate in the Corcoran Department of History at the University of Virginia. He is currently completing a dissertation on veterans’ battles to dominate national Civil War commemoration during an era of sectional reconciliation.
