- Editors' Corner
We would like to introduce two new editorial assistants for this issue of the journal. The new assistants, Christopher Davis and Shannon Freeman, are Ph.D. students specializing in archaeology in the joint University of Illinois at Chicago–Field Museum graduate program in anthropology. Debra Green and Lisa Niziolek, also Ph.D. students in this program, will continue to work as their academic schedules permit on various tasks associated with the journal. We very much appreciate the excellent work of these graduate student assistants.
You may have noticed the absence of book reviews in this issue. This is a temporary absence due to our desire to include a larger number of research articles in this issue and a reorganization of our system for soliciting book reviews. We will continue to include book reviews in subsequent issues, since they are a vital element of the journal. We would like to be able to include more reviews of books written in Asian languages or other non-English languages of interest to specialists in Asian and Pacific archaeology. We are happy to hear from scholars who can alert us to new books written in non-English languages that might be reviewed in the journal.
