Abbreviated names of ancient authors and works follow the systems used in LSJ and OLD. For abbreviated titles of most periodicals and standard reference works, consult the useful list found in the "Editorial Policy, Instructions for Contributors, and Abbreviations" provided by the American Journal of Archaeology and available through the AJA website (http://www.ajaonline.org).
