Notes on Contributors

Rosemary Dixon is a PhD student at Queen Mary, University of London. She is interested in the publication and reception of religious books and pamphlets, particularly sermons, during the Restoration and the eighteenth century. She is currently working on a thesis entitled 'John Tillotson and Sermons in Print, 1660–1780'.

David J. Shaw is the Secretary of the Consortium of European Research Libraries, and was President of the Bibliographical Society in 2002–04. He has retired as Senior Lecturer in French at the University of Kent at Canterbury, where he taught Renaissance literature with a research specialism in the history of the book in Renaissance France.

Maria Wakely is currently working on the AHRC-funded King's Printer Project based at Queen Mary, University of London. She has worked for many years on the Oxford Francis Bacon project, and was a major contributor to Professor Graham Rees's critical edition of Bacon's Instauratio magna (2004). She has also written on James Joyce and Irish literature.
