International Computer Music Conference

The International Computer Music Association in association with Aalborg University Esbjerg will host the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) on Holmen Island in Copenhagen, Denmark, 27 August–1 September 2007 (see Figure 1). The theme of the conference is "Immersed Music," which is to be interpreted both in the sense of how the brain interprets music, and also in the sense of being surrounded by water, as is the location of the conference, being at the border of the Copenhagen channels. This theme might be addressed by compositions and papers that involve immersed performance interfaces, immersed perception, etc. The conference chair is Kristoffer Jensen; the music chair is Lars Graugaard; the papers chair is Stefania Serafin; and the program chair is Jens Arnspang. New this year is the use of "ICMC Ambassadors," experts who will help coordinate efforts in the areas of their specialties.
