Hier

Here
I live in the grime and grunge of the south,in the city where Adam and Eve spoke Dutch.I live on the thirsty bank of a river
that finds its way from France to Holland,as I found my way from Holland to here:I was a traveling cloud and tied myself down.
I burn of the north!I hear with a humanist's ear the Hebrew that passesand see the language border when I take off my glasses.
I have a house here and a vine full of aphids.I have a café where I joke like a local.I love these people, who babble and piss
in the blue stream of my words...An old linden blossoms outside The New Linden.I am uprooted, too happy sometimes for words.
I write this home in a summer night's waking, although I'm at home, like a scuttled crabthat stopped running the moment it found its feet.
