- Editor's Note
Dear Readers, Authors, Consultants, and Contributors to Legacy:
It is with great sadness that I announce that I am resigning as the senior editor of Legacy. I have thoroughly enjoyed the last two years of editing the journal and working with our contributors, consultants, readers, and authors. It has opened my eyes to many exciting developments in the field of American women's writing. I am, however, moving into a position as associate professor at the University of Connecticut, where I will be editing the journal MELUS: Multi-Ethnic Literature of the United States.
I am pleased to announce that my co-editor, Nicole Tonkovich, will be taking over as editor, aided by a grant of financial support from her home university, the University of California, San Diego. Dawn Keetley, of Lehigh University, and Jennifer Tuttle, of the University of New England, will become co-editors. The rest of the journal's superb staff will stay: Robin Cadwallader as Managing Editor and Jennifer Putzi as Book Review Editor. Karen Dandurand has agreed to continue her involvement with the journal as Advisory Editor.
I wish to thank Kent State University for support over the past eight years while I have served as Book Review Editor, Associate Editor, and finally Senior Editor of Legacy. I also wish to thank the consultants, who have made the process of getting articles through the review process so much easier by their careful commentary, and the members of the editorial board, who have always provided me with support and feedback. Finally, I wish to thank the staff at the University of Nebraska Press, who have been patient through the many transitions the journal has undergone.
In the future, all articles, Profiles, pieces for reprint, or "From the Archives" should be sent as e-mail attachments to Nicole Tonkovich at this address: <LEGACYemail@example.com>.
It has been a pleasure working with all of you over the past few years. If you need to reach me after August 1, my new e-mail will be: Martha.Cutter@Uconn.edu. Thank you again for all your invaluable assistance.
