Val Dusek is a professor of philosophy at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, who teaches the philosophy of science and the philosophy of technology and has written articles and books on a variety of related topics. His latest book is Philosophy of Technology: An Introduction (Blackwell, 2006).

Christy Hammer is an associate professor of sociology at the University of Southern Maine, Lewiston/Auburn. She focused on the sociology of science in her doctoral studies and is a past member of the Genetic Screening Study Group of Science for the People.

Johnston N. Hegeman is the director of Programs for Academic Support and Studies and coordinator of TRIO Programs at Frostburg State University in Maryland.
