Abstract
"This is a Test: One Girl's Fight with Cancer" is the award-winning play written by students at Washington Irving School in Chicago, Illinois. It follows the life of Shenita Peterson, from the first twinges of what was to be diagnosed as bone cancer through her reluctant return to school, bald and on crutches. This Is a Test is a creative exploration of fear, memory, and healing as well as a staging of a struggle with life-threatening illness.
