One part, darkened, reddened, hangs until it can no longer be a bird or shredded nest and I must take it for something come too soon, of the tree, but growing more adamantly into the available spot of sun to be lit, as any crown plotting for future manifestations and glints of might – yes, the taller, the more greenly translucent the tree, mid-summer, the more that red-brown windfall looks wholly unaccountable.
