I'm not sure why Helen Levin thinks it worthwhile to compose a rambling and tendentious response to an 11-year-old invited polemic in a student journal to which very few Leonardo readers will have access, or why Leonardo bothers to publish such stuff. Still, it's rather nice to be reminded of how right I turned out to be (long before Bilbao) about the bankruptcy of pencil fundamentalism and the rapidly growing importance of digital modeling and CAD/CAM as liberators of the architectural imagination.
