Due to a proofreading error, the published version of Professor Gary Hamburg's recent article, "Writing History and the End of the Soviet Era: The Secret Lives of Natan Eidel´man" (Kritika 7, 1 [2006]: 71–109), omitted the following footnote: "This article is dedicated to Professor Semion Mikhailovich Lyandres in gratitude for many happy hours we have spent discussing Eidel´man and the evolution of historiography in the Soviet Union.
