This study explores how womenÕs studies faculty at comprehensive universities who were assigned to disciplinary departments and associated with womenÕs studies programs made decisions about whether and how to pursue feminist teaching, research, and service. The focus is on how institutional power, peer values, and individual values influence scholarly decisions.
